About PCF Landscapes & Maintenance

PCF Landscapes is a small, family-run business. Philip started working in gardening and landscaping over 25 years ago. Previous works include Landscaping of show homes for a well known construction company. Maintained the formal gardens for a local Dignitary of Cheltenham.

Ruby joined her husband in the company in 2005. Having grown up on a stud farm, she loved the outdoors life. She admits she is still occasionally surprised by people’s attitudes to a female gardener.

"Charlie Dymock changed that to a certain extent but there’s still the odd person who thinks I’ve come along to make the tea.”
Nothing could be further from the truth. Phil says: “Ruby is a great asset to the business because some customers – perhaps ladies who live on their own – are reassured by having a woman around rather than an all-male team. Then when people see her work they realise she works just as hard as I do."

Philip and Ruby pride themselves on providing a personal but very professional service and never subcontract their work.

PCF specialise in lawns, fencing, patios or general hard landscaping though Philip says they are doing less decking these days people are moving back to paving.”

It certainly doesn’t have to be a full garden makeover – PCF are just as happy to do a clearing out job.

Philip adds: “If people are finding their garden a bit too much we can suggest low maintenance alternatives to their current design.”
Although some companies ask for testimonials as a matter of course, PCF don’t but they are nevertheless sent thank you cards, letters and emails full of praise.
